Oh, NPR is really getting into some of the good Data Porn here lately. This is a fantastic visualization of a multitude of data on the US and how we consume energy. I work in this industry and it never fails to both bewilder me and excite me at the same time. This shows on a couple of different levels how separate Texas is from the rest of the US in terms of both delivery, production, and organization.

Beer seems to be following the path (and numbers) I would suspect it to, the "junk" foods really show what has gone wrong with the way the US eats over the past few decades (which influences the world). Great graphic.
Interesting idea for a device, although I am not sure how much useful it could instead of a keyboard, besides the programmatic/dynamic layout. Eager to see one in action and how much it would cost.

I used to work with a guy who swore up and down the best Sci-Fi series ever made was the original V series. This was at the time when The 4400 had just come and Lost was already starting to really get some momentum. I always have meant to get around to watching it, but never have. It looks like ABC picked up the rights to recreate it and is really using some star power behind it. (It never hurts to have a little Inara in the show by any means - gotta say though, not digging the new hair :)
